The Dependent Variable:
Lung Capacity into a balloon before and after a work-out, 3 second blow
The Controlled Variable(s):
Balloon, 3 second blow
The Independent Variable:
Nothing

1. Grab the equipment needed, 2 Balloons and Tape Ruler
2. Blow a balloon for 3 seconds
3. Measure the diameter in centimetres and record it using the Tape Ruler
4. Graph the result
5. Complete a 30 minute work-out at full potential
6. Blow the second balloon for 3 seconds
7. Measure the diameter in centimetres and record it using the Tape Ruler
8. Graph the result
7. Repeat for reliability

Experiment (Lung Capacity): Equipment and Order
DAY 1:
Firstly I am going to get two balloons, making sure they are the same size, and lay them somewhere I know they are safe. I am going to grab one balloon before I work out and blow it (3 second blow), then I am going to place it in the safe spot.
Next step is do to my work-out (using my lung capacity) and do it to my full potential for 30 minutes, continuously. Once I have completed that, I am going to grab the second balloon and blow it up.
The last step is to measure the diameter of the first and second balloon and create a graph.
DAY 2:
Repeat the above steps, but also add to the graph, comparing results with size (cm) for reliability.
EQUIPMENT:
- 4 Balloons
- Tape Ruler
(PICTURES WILL BE UP ON MY BLOG SOON!)

Final Idea Chosen: Diameter
Well, after all my ideas and what I've chose, I had finally decided to pick measuring the diameter of a balloon before a work out, and after a work out. This is to do with lung capacity and how much it decreases or if it's the same, I'll find out soon.

My Ideas
1. Test how long different chewing gum brands last (timed)
2. See how much bubbles I can make from 1 breathe
3. How many metres I can run in 5 seconds
These three ideas are my main ideas, I will expand on them in a Mind Map.
